Rubber Soul is one of Germany's best-known Beatles tribute bands, based in North Rhine-Westphalia. The four musicians Bernd Alsdorf (vocals, drums), Toto Loehnert (lead guitar), Heri Scherkenbach (rhythm guitar) and Juergen Lenkeit (bass) perform the Beatles' songs entirely live, without playback or samples. Their repertoire spans from the band's early rock 'n' roll to the final album Let It Be. Rather than relying on costume gimmicks, they take the stage in simple black suits out of respect for their idols. Their motto is: better well interpreted than poorly imitated.
