Michael Jäger - Unfallkind

About the event

On his NRW run through Alsdorf, Duisburg and Essen, Michael Jäger brings the stand-up show Unfallkind to the Katakomben Theater in Essen in February 2027.

Jäger spent many years performing abroad and has played comedy in more than 20 countries; after some two decades he is back in the region he comes from. His own story is the starting point: a chaotic childhood, an early departure for far-away places, then studies, travel and just about every job imaginable. He has been working international stages for the past ten years.

Unfallkind deals with life, with truths that usually go unspoken and with absurd everyday situations, repeatedly moving along the edge of what is still allowed. The evening is built as a small trip around the world, showing that people everywhere wrestle with the same problems. The tone stays warm, honest and direct.
