Alex Isley (Alexandra Isley) is an American singer-songwriter and producer working in R&B, soul and neo-soul. The daughter of Ernie Isley of the Isley Brothers, she trained classically as a vocalist from age 12 and studied jazz at UCLA before releasing her debut EP in 2012. Her discography includes the projects Dreams in Analog, Luxury and the collaborative albums Marigold (with Jack Dine) and I Left My Heart in Ladera (with Terrace Martin). She has collaborated with artists such as Robert Glasper, Lucky Daye, Masego and Rapsody, and earned Grammy nominations for the song Back to Love with Robert Glasper and SiR. Her music is known for silky vocals set against jazz- and hip-hop-influenced neo-soul arrangements.
