Andreas Dresen is a German film director, born in 1963. His 2018 film "Gundermann", about the songwriter Gerhard Gundermann, became an arthouse hit and won six Lolas at the German Film Awards. Together with the film's lead actor Alexander Scheer and a band, he has since been performing the Gundermann songs live. Since 2018 Dresen has been professor of screen acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre.
