Aries Spears is an American stand-up comedian and actor, born on April 3, 1975 in Chicago and raised in New York and New Jersey. He started performing stand-up at fourteen in Harlem, and his first big break came on Def Comedy Jam in 1992. He is best known for the Fox sketch show MADtv, where he appeared in 198 episodes from 1997 to 2005 – the second-longest tenure in the show's history. He is celebrated for his impressions, including Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson and hip-hop stars such as LL Cool J and Jay-Z. His other work includes films like Jerry Maguire and the 2011 comedy special Hollywood, Look I'm Smiling.
