Jens Christian "Bugge" Wesseltoft, born 1 February 1964, is a Norwegian jazz pianist, composer and producer, and the son of jazz guitarist Erik Wesseltoft. In the 1990s he founded his own label, Jazzland Recordings, and released "New Conception of Jazz", an album fusing electronic music with traditional jazz that made him a pioneer of nu jazz. His solo piano album "It's Snowing On My Piano" was released on ACT Music in 1997 and became the label's biggest seller, passing 150,000 copies. Wesseltoft has worked with artists including Jan Garbarek and Sidsel Endresen and is regarded as a leading figure in the Scandinavian jazz scene. He still performs the album's music live, reinterpreting the compositions each time as improvised meditations.
