Crimson Glory is an American heavy metal band formed in 1983 in Sarasota, Florida, with roots dating back to 1979. Alongside acts such as Queensryche and Dream Theater, they are regarded as pioneers of progressive metal. Their 1988 album Transcendence is often cited as one of the greatest progressive metal albums of all time. The classic lineup featured vocalist Midnight, guitarists Jon Drenning and Ben Jackson, bassist Jeff Lords and drummer Dana Burnell. After several breakups and lineup changes, the band returned in 2023 with new vocalist Travis Wills and released the album Chasing the Hydra in 2026.
