Dark Oath is a metal band formed in 2009 in Soure, in the Portuguese district of Coimbra. The group plays epic, symphonically shaped death metal. Its lyrics draw on mythology and history: the debut album "When Fire Engulfs the Earth" deals with Norse mythology and Viking battles. The follow-up "Ages of Man" turns to Greek mythology. The band tours internationally, including shows in Germany.
