About
Darren Kiely is an Irish singer-songwriter from Cork whose folk-infused pop sound is rooted in traditional Irish music and shaped by modern influences such as The Lumineers and Noah Kahan. He learned the tin whistle at age five, picked up the fiddle at eight and later taught himself guitar. He began singing in 2019, quickly drawing attention for his raw, emotive vocals. His debut single "How Could You Love Me", followed by "Ella" and "Time To Leave", entered Ireland's viral charts on three separate occasions. After winning numerous national honours in Irish traditional music, he moved to New York in 2022 to continue developing his own sound.
