About

Dave Davis (born 30 January 1973 in Cologne) is a German cabaret artist, comedian and music producer. His parents came from Uganda and fled the dictator Idi Amin to Germany, where Davis grew up in Bonn and later earned a Bachelor in Recording Arts. He became known for his self-created stage character Motombo Umbokko, a restroom attendant from the fictional country of Nfuddu whose humour arises mainly from a satirical play on the German language. Since 2014 he has also performed solo programmes such as "Afrodisiaka!" under his own name and has received awards including the Stuttgarter Besen and the Prix Pantheon twice.
