Def Leppard is an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1977 and associated with the new wave of British heavy metal. Its long-standing lineup features Joe Elliott (vocals), Rick Savage (bass), Rick Allen (drums) and guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell. Albums such as Pyromania and Hysteria made them one of the most commercially successful rock acts of the 1980s. The band continues to tour internationally.
