Der Physikant is the stage persona of physicist Marcus Weber, who founded the science-comedy group "Physikanten & Co." together with Jörg Gutschank in 2000 and has led it ever since. Weber combines physics experiments with comedy and regularly presents experiments on the ARD show "Wer weiß denn sowas XXL". With his solo programme "Ich hab' da mal was vorbereitet" he brings topics such as electricity and mechanics to the theatre stage. He has been a member of the German Physical Society since 2003.
