Dick Brave & the Backbeats is a German rockabilly project created in 2003 as the alter ego of singer Sasha (Sascha Röntgen-Schmitz). Sasha and his fellow musicians performed as exaggerated on-stage characters, treating the act as a humorous side project. Their album "Dick This!" became Sasha's first number-one record and featured a cover of "Take Good Care of My Baby." After a farewell concert in 2004 the project was initially discontinued, but Sasha later revived it for new performances.
