About
Dominik Merscheid is a German singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who makes music for children and adults alike. A trained primary-school educator, he also works as a foley/sound-effects artist and voice modulator and, since 2022, regularly as a musical clinic clown in hospitals. In 2016 he developed the multimedia comic performance "BildKlangLesung" with illustrator Ferdinand Lutz, and in 2018 he co-founded the children's comic magazine POLLE. His debut album "Im Spiel" was released in 2021 and his second album "Guter Dinge" in February 2026; his children's music won the Weberlein prize in 2021 and the LEOPOLD award of the German Music Schools Association in 2024. In his show "Der musikalische Koffer" he brings a suitcase full of unusual small instruments and story-songs to the stage for listening, singing and joining in.
