Dr. Pop (real name Markus Henrik, born 1982) is a German music cabaret artist, stand-up comedian, presenter and author. A music and media scholar with a doctorate, he combines comedy with in-depth musical knowledge, decoding on stage the success of current hits, legendary samples and moments from music history spanning hip-hop, rock, pop, schlager, classical and jazz. His weekly radio column "Dr. Pops Tonstudio" on radioeins (rbb) earned him a 2019 nomination for the German Radio Prize in the "Best Comedy" category. He tours Germany with his continually updated solo show "Hitverdächtig".
