About
Elder Island is a British trio from Bristol, formed in 2014, consisting of Katy Sargent (vocals, cello), Luke Thornton (bass, programming) and David Havard (guitar, keyboards). The band started out playing folk music and gradually shifted towards house and indie electronica. Their self-titled EP received airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music. They have released two studio albums, "The Omnitone Collection" (2019) and "Swimming Static" (2021), alongside several EPs and remix albums. The group took its name from a Canadian island.
