About
Eric Lu (born 1997 in Massachusetts) is an American concert pianist. He studied at the Curtis Institute of Music under Jonathan Biss and Robert McDonald. He rose to international attention after winning fourth prize at the 2015 International Chopin Competition and first prize at the 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition, and later won the 2025 International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. He records exclusively for Warner Classics, with acclaimed albums of Chopin, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms. Lu has performed with major orchestras including the London Symphony, Chicago Symphony and Boston Symphony Orchestra.
