Esther Münch is a German cabaret artist, singer, host and voice performer from the Ruhr region. After studying German literature, history and education and training in flute, piano, guitar, singing and improvisational theatre, she has been performing on stage since 1980. Her best-known character is the brusque cleaning lady "Waltraud Ehlert", whom she has played since 1996 on cabaret stages, at matinees and at corporate events, and with whom she has appeared on German television with Jürgen von der Lippe on ARD and on ZDF's "Volle Kanne". She also transforms into further roles such as the fortune-teller "SonSchundDa", the miner's widow "Mechthild Schipinski" and "Irma Heftig". She keeps 16 solo programmes in her repertoire at the same time, among them "Wann isset passiert?".
