About

Florian Paul & die Kapelle der letzten Hoffnung is a German-language band led by singer and storyteller Florian Paul, who moved from Germany's Ruhr region to Munich in 2015 to study film music. There he met his bandmates at the Munich University of Music: Nils Wrasse (saxophone), Giuliano Loli (keyboards), Johannes Rothmoser (drums) and Susi Lotter (bass). With a raspy voice and theatrical staging, Paul tells intimate stories about life, love and loneliness. The band's discography includes the albums "Dazwischen" (2019, Millaphon Records) and "Auf Sand gebaut" (2022), the latter accompanied by a 30-minute music film. In 2023 Paul created the musical theatre production "Jetzt oder nie" with Munich's Residenztheater.
