About

Guildo Horn (real name Horst Köhler, born 15 February 1963 in Trier) is a German Schlager singer and entertainer. Together with his band Die Orthopädischen Strümpfe, he blends Schlager with rock elements and an exuberant, tongue-in-cheek stage show. He rose to national fame in 1998 when he represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Birmingham with the song "Guildo hat euch lieb!", finishing in seventh place. Before his music career he studied education and worked as a music therapist in Trier. Since 2000 he has held an annual Christmas concert on 23 December at the Europahalle in Trier.
