Hanno Busch

About

Hanno Busch (born 25 August 1975 in Wuppertal) is a German guitarist active in both jazz and pop. He studied jazz guitar in Hilversum and Amsterdam and is regarded as one of the most versatile guitarists on the German music scene. With the Hanno Busch Trio he released albums such as "Absent" (2014) and "Share This Room" (2017), and from 2007 to 2017 he played in the Heavytones, the house band of the TV show "TV total". Since 2021 he has been the guitarist in Jan Delay's band, and he has also worked with artists such as Max Mutzke, Bobby McFerrin and Gregor Meyle. In March 2026 he received the WDR Jazz Prize.
