Heavysaurus is a German metal band founded in 2017, built on the Finnish Hevisaurus concept from 2009 – an idea by Thunderstone drummer Mirka Rantanen, who wanted a metal band his five-year-old son could listen to. The line-up is four dinosaurs and a dragon in full-body costumes: Mr. Heavysaurus on vocals, Riffi Raffi on guitar, Muffi Puffi on bass, Komppi Momppi on drums and Milli Pilli on keyboards, all played by a real live band. The songs run on riffs, double-bass drumming and choruses children can shout back, without watering the music down. Alongside the records the band produces German-language audio plays. The album METAL arrived in early 2026 and gives the current tour its name.
