Hoods is an American hardcore band formed in 1994 in Sacramento, California. Their sound is described as beatdown and tough-guy hardcore, influenced by acts such as Madball, Sick of It All and the Cro-Mags. Led by founder Mike "Mikey Hood" Mraz, the band has released albums including The King Is Dead (2005), Ghetto Blaster (2007) and Pit Beast (2009). Active for more than three decades, they have maintained a steady recording and touring presence.
