About
Hudson Freeman is a Brooklyn-based lo-fi folk musician whose sound was forged by the DIY spirit of the American Midwest. Born to Evangelical missionaries, he began writing songs at the age of thirteen after his family moved from the suburbs of Dallas to the Kingdom of Eswatini. His work draws on the influence of indie artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver and grapples with themes of modern identity, digital disconnection, and faith. Songs like "If You Know Me" and his full-length album "is a Folk Artist" have helped establish him as one of indie folk's most compelling new voices.
