In Extremo is a German medieval metal band founded in Berlin in 1995. Their sound blends hard rock and metal with historical instruments such as bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy and shawm. The lyrics are performed in modern and medieval German as well as several other languages. With albums and hits like “Küss mich,” the group is among the best-known acts of the medieval metal genre.
