About
The International Festival Ballet is a touring classical ballet company founded in 2009 to bring together talented and ambitious young dancers. Its ensemble of around 45 dancers are graduates of ballet schools such as the Vaganova Academy, the Moscow Academy of Choreography, the Kiev State Ballet Academy and the Kharkov Choreography College, and come from countries including Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Italy, Spain and Japan. The company sees its mission as presenting classical ballet, introducing new artists and nurturing the next generation of dancers. It tours internationally for five to six months each year and appears on stages across Europe, including regular performances in Germany. Its touring repertoire includes a production of The Nutcracker (Der Nussknacker), which it presents in German theatres.
