About
KALEO is an Icelandic blues rock band formed in Mosfellsbær in 2012. The lineup consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jökull Júlíusson (JJ Julius Son), drummer Davíð Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjánsson, lead guitarist Rubin Pollock and harmonica player Þorleifur Gaukur Davíðsson. The band broke through internationally with the album A/B (2016) and the hit single “Way Down We Go”. To date, KALEO has released four studio albums: Kaleo (2013), A/B (2016), Surface Sounds (2021) and Mixed Emotions (2025). Their sound blends blues, rock and folk with raw, soulful vocals.
