Kanii, born Kani Nkshon Shorter Jr. on August 2, 2005, in Washington, D.C., is an American rapper and singer. His music blends hip hop, R&B, hyperpop and jersey club into a danceable, modern sound. He broke through in 2023 with the single "I Know", which went viral on TikTok, peaked at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned RIAA gold certification. Signed to Masked and Warner Records, he has released EPs including "Exiit" and "It Was Nice Knowing U". In 2024 he supported PinkPantheress on her "Capable of Love" tour before launching his own headline tours.
