About

The Kartäuserkantorei Köln is a mixed concert choir (SATB) from Cologne, founded in 1970 by Peter Neumann and associated with the Kartäuserkirche. After Philipp Ahmann, Paul Krämer has served as its artistic director since 2013. A central focus is the oratorio tradition, performing sacred and secular works by old and new masters such as Handel, Schubert, Brahms and Mendelssohn. The choir also devotes itself to demanding a cappella choral music ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. It performs regularly at the Cologne Philharmonie and in concert churches across the region.
