About
KELS is an independent American singer-songwriter originally from Pittsburgh and now based in Atlanta. Her sound blends soul, jazz and pop, drawing on influences such as Lauryn Hill, Sarah Vaughan, Erykah Badu, Adele and Amy Winehouse. Entirely funded by her fanbase and working without a label or management, she completed a self-organized 52-show US tour in 2023, followed by a further tour across the Northeast. In May 2024 she performed at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, appearing ahead of André 3000, and has earned co-signs from artists including Big Boi and Timbaland. She is currently bringing her music to European audiences with her Across The Pond Tour, including a stop in Cologne.
