About

KMFDM is a German industrial band founded in 1984 in Hamburg by Sascha Konietzko, widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in the genre. The band describes its heavy fusion of aggressive guitars, electronic beats and samples as "Ultra Heavy Beat". Over more than four decades KMFDM has released a large catalogue of albums and helped define the sound of industrial rock and metal. They are also known for their striking poster and cover artwork created by artist Aidan Hughes, as well as for their intense live shows. While many musicians have passed through the group over the years, Konietzko has remained its constant creative core.
