About
La Delio Valdez is an Argentine cumbia orchestra founded in 2009 in Lanús, in Greater Buenos Aires. Organized as a musicians' cooperative, the group of around 15 members blends traditional cumbia with elements of Andean music, salsa, reggae, rock and jazz. In 2018 they won the Gardel Award for Best Tropical Music Album for "Sonido subtropical." In 2025 they were honored with the Konex Award recognizing their work over the past decade.
