Left To Die is a death metal supergroup founded by Matt Harvey (Exhumed, Gruesome) as an homage to Chuck Schuldiner's pioneering band Death. The lineup unites former Death members Terry Butler (bass, also Obituary and Massacre) and Rick Rozz (guitar) with Harvey on guitar and vocals and drummer Gus Rios (Gruesome, ex-Malevolent Creation). Live, the band performs the classic album Leprosy in its entirety alongside selected tracks from Death's debut Scream Bloody Gore. Rather than a conventional tribute act, it is presented as an uncompromising celebration of the formative early years of death metal. In 2026 the group released the album Initium Mortis via Relapse Records and toured Germany and Europe.
