Lilo Wanders is the stage persona of German travesty artist and entertainer Ernst-Johann "Ernie" Reinhardt, born on 22 September 1955 in Celle. He became nationally known as the host of the VOX television show "Wa(h)re Liebe", which he presented from 1994 to 2004. He performs almost exclusively in his female persona as a flamboyant, ageing theatre diva. Beyond television and cabaret, he has appeared in films, created stage programmes about performers such as Evelyn Künneke and Marlene Dietrich, and led tours of Hamburg's Reeperbahn. In 2023 he received the Jürgen-von-Manger Prize for his lifetime achievement in entertainment.
