Ludovico Einaudi (born 1955 in Turin) is an Italian pianist and composer. He studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, including under Luciano Berio, and developed a minimalist style bridging contemporary classical and ambient music. He is best known for albums such as Le Onde, I Giorni, In a Time Lapse and the Seven Days Walking cycle. He has also written film scores, including for The Intouchables and Nomadland. His gentle, melodic piano works have earned him a large international following.
