Mad Tsai, born Jonathan Tsai in Fountain Valley, California, is an American singer-songwriter and social media personality of Taiwanese and Peruvian descent. He rose to prominence in 2020 by posting original music on TikTok under the handle @madsteaparty. His breakthrough came with the viral single "Boy Bi" (2020), through which he also publicly came out as bisexual. His music blends pop, bedroom pop and alternative, exploring themes of queerness, adolescence and self-identity. He has since released the EPs "homecoming!" (2022) and "Teenage Nightmare" (2023), along with songs such as "stacy's brother" and "killer queen".
