MakeWar is a punk rock trio from Brooklyn, New York, that puts its Latin American roots from Venezuela and Colombia front and center. The band consists of singer and guitarist Jose Prieto, bassist Edwin Santacruz and drummer Alejandro Serritiello. Their sound blends melodic punk with grunge and alternative influences, tackling themes of mental health, politics and personal growth. They are known for bilingual songwriting and passionate, high-energy live shows built around catchy singalong choruses.
