About
Marilyn's Army is a band from Essen-Überruhr-Holthausen that has been active since 1986 and describes its own style as "Postpunkpop'n'Poetry". Their thirteenth album, "Zeit zu schreien" (2022), ranges from dark wave-punk numbers to up-tempo ska tracks. In December 2024 the band released the concert recording "Köder Live" with 28 songs along with a remastered version of the album "Liebe in den Zeiten des Imperfekts", and in November 2025 the single "Willkommen und Abschied" from the forthcoming album "Gold" followed. Their Christmas concert at the Grend cultural centre in Essen has been a fixture of the city's calendar for decades and has recently sold out regularly.
