Michael Schütz (born 29 July 1963 in Karlsruhe) is a German church musician, composer, organist and university lecturer. He specializes in bringing popular music to the church organ, arranging pop, rock and film music from ABBA, Queen and the Beatles to the Harry Potter soundtrack. Since 2010 he has been cantor at the Trinitatiskirche in Berlin and teaches popular music at the Berlin University of the Arts. Since 2019 he has also served as commissioner for popular music of the Protestant Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. His concerts have taken him across Germany, throughout Europe, to Israel and the United States, including a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York.
