About
Mike Oldfield (born 1953) is an English multi-instrumentalist and composer best known for his 1973 debut album "Tubular Bells". The roughly 50-minute instrumental piece, on which Oldfield played almost every instrument himself, was the first release on Virgin Records and became world-famous after its theme was used in the film "The Exorcist". Over his career he produced further acclaimed albums such as "Hergest Ridge" and "Ommadawn", along with the hit single "Moonlight Shadow". "Tubular Bells Live in Concert" is a stage production that performs this landmark work in full live.
