Mimi Barks is a German rapper from Bochum, best known for her self-coined "Doom Trap" style that blends industrial, hip-hop, metal and harsh electro with aggressive screamed vocals. After time in Berlin, she moved to London in 2019 to collaborate with Scarlxrd's producers. She signed with Century Media Records in August 2020 and won the Disruptor Award at the 2022 Kerrang! Awards. Her releases include the debut EP "Enter the Void" (2019) and the albums "Deadgirl" (2022) and "This Is Doom Trap" (2024), with lyrics mostly in English and a few German-language tracks.
