About
Moliy Ama Montgomery, known as Moliy, is a Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter born in 2001 and raised in Accra, Ghana. She rose to international fame in 2021 when her collaborative single "Sad Girlz Luv Money" with Amaarae entered the US Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top 30 in the UK. She released her debut EP "Wondergirl" in 2020, followed by "Honey Doom" in 2022. Her 2024 single "Shake It to the Max (Fly)" with producer Silent Addy topped the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart, and its remix featuring Shenseea and Skillibeng surpassed one billion streams in early 2025. Her songwriting draws on personal experience and themes of identity and artistic independence.
