About
The Moses Yoofee Trio is a Berlin jazz group built around pianist, composer and producer Moses Yoofee Vester, who formed it in 2023 with bassist Roman Klobe-Baranga and drummer Noah Fürbringer, though the three had been playing together since 2020. Their music folds soul, R&B and hip-hop into a jazz frame and has placed them at the front of Europe's expanding nu-jazz scene. The debut EP "Ocean" (2023) was followed in February 2025 by the album "MYT", released on LEITER, the label run by Nils Frahm; most of it was cut over ten days at Glaswald Studios outside Stuttgart, with two further tracks recorded at LEITER's Funkhaus studio in Berlin. In 2024 the trio won Live Act of the Year at the German Jazz Prize.
