MUPANI is the project of the Zimbabwean-British singer-songwriter Kelvin Jones (born 10 February 1995), who was born in Zimbabwe, grew up in London and has lived and worked in Germany since 2016. His breakthrough came in 2015 with the single “Call You Home” and the debut album “Stop The Moment”, followed by the feature “Love To Go” with Lost Frequencies and Zonderling (2020) and “Pillow” (2022). Under the MUPANI name he returns, by his own description, to his roots: a mixture of Afro-pop, 1970s soul and first-generation trap. The project was presented live at the Reeperbahn Festival as “Kelvin Jones pres. MUPANI”, and he performs it on stage with a band.
