Pet Shop Boys are a British synth-pop duo formed in London in 1981, consisting of singer Neil Tennant and keyboardist Chris Lowe. They achieved their international breakthrough with the 1985 single "West End Girls", followed by hits such as "It's a Sin", "Always on My Mind" and "Go West". They are regarded as one of the most commercially successful duos in British pop history and have been highly influential in the synth-pop genre. Their live shows are known for elaborate, artful stage productions.
