About
Philipp Hochmair is an Austrian actor working in theatre, film and television. He trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris, and has played stage roles such as Hamlet, Mephisto and Werther. His solo projects "Jedermann Reloaded", "Schiller Balladen Rave" and "Der Hagestolz" blend theatre with a rock concert: in "Jedermann Reloaded", based on Hofmannsthal's play, he performs every character himself, backed by his band Die Elektrohand Gottes. Television audiences know him from series such as "Vorstadtweiber" and as a blind investigator in the crime series "Blind ermittelt"; in 2024 he took over the title role in the Salzburg Festival's "Jedermann".
