About

Pinhead is a German music project led by multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer Ilja John Lappin, who is also known as the bassist and singer of the progressive metal band The Hirsch Effekt and as a live bassist for Mono Inc. Its sound blends atmospheric, dark metalcore with post-goth and industrial influences, paired with deeply personal and melancholic lyrics. Following the album "Egomessiah", the album "Beauty in Pain" was released on 13 November 2026 via NoCut Entertainment. On stage Lappin is joined by a live band featuring guitarist Florian Fleischer, bassist Marc Andrejkovitz and drummer Simon Schröder. The "Beauty in Pain" tour in 2026 includes several dates across Germany, among them shows in North Rhine-Westphalia.
