About

RAF Camora, born Raphael Ragucci on 4 June 1984 in Vevey, Switzerland, came to Vienna as a child and grew up there, taking up the violin at four and the piano at six. The Austrian rapper, singer and producer built his sound around German-language rap laced with dancehall rhythms and melodic auto-tuned singing. His commercial breakthrough came in 2016 with Palmen aus Plastik, a joint album with Hamburg rapper Bonez MC that made the case for dancehall rap in German. The following year his solo record Anthrazit went straight to number one in Austria and Germany; Zenit arrived in 2019 and Palmen aus Plastik 3 closed the trilogy in 2022. He again took the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for hip hop and urban music in 2026.
