Ricky Martin (born Enrique Martín Morales in 1971 in San Juan, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actor. He started his career as a member of the boy band Menudo before achieving global fame as a solo artist. With hits such as "Livin' la Vida Loca" and "Maria", he became a defining figure of the Latin pop crossover into the mainstream. He is considered one of the most successful Latin artists of all time, having sold millions of records worldwide.
