Romeo Santos (born Anthony Santos in 1981 in the Bronx, New York) is an American singer and songwriter of Dominican descent, widely known as the "King of Bachata". He first gained fame as the frontman of the group Aventura, which blended traditional bachata with R&B and pop. Since 2011 he has pursued a highly successful solo career with albums such as "Formula, Vol. 1", "Formula, Vol. 2" and "Golden". He is one of the best-selling and most influential artists in Latin music.
